Former Teacher In Boone Dies
VAN - Christopher Columbus Adkins, 67, of Van, died Friday in Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital in Beckley.
He was a retired Boone County school teacher.
Surviving: wife, Elizabeth; daughter, Mrs Christine Tyler of Daniels; sisters, Mrs. Nona Jordan of Virginia Beach, Va., and Drs. Lola McNeely of Man; brothers, Brady Adkins of Man and the Rev. Herman Adkins of Van.
Service will be 1p.m. today in the Bigson Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Adkins and the Rev. Edgar Spencer officiating. Burial will be in Boone Memorial Park in Madison
