Mescal Faye Thompson, 75, of Griffithsville passed away July 24, 2011 at her home.
She was born March 25, 1936 and was a daughter of the late Charles and Wavie Dickerson Cullison. She was also preceded in death by a son, Timothy Dale Thompson.
She is survived by her husband, Carl; two daughters, Alice Carl Halstead of Griffithsville and Juanita V. Japczyk of Illinois; one sister, Barbara Ann Liberty; two brothers, Harold Roger Cullison and William Everett Cullison; four grandchildren, Leroy Allen Halstead, Mark Anthony Halstead, Johnny Japczyk and Joseph Carl Japczyk; and two great-grandchildren, Timothy Allen Halstead and Hanah Beth Halstead.
Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, July 28 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with Minister Dave Callison officiating. Burial will follow in Berkley Earl Hill Cemetery, Hewett.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
