Jucal David Craddock, 81, of Hewett, Boone County, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, May 6, 2006, with his family by his side.
Born Oct. 22, 1924, at Ethel, he was the son of the late Jahu Corbett and Elizabeth Dingess Craddock.
Jucal was a retired coalminer and a member of the UMWA andMeadow Fork Freewill Baptist Church, Hewett. He was a man who loved fishing, hunting, gardening and just being outside.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Thelma Jean Ellis Craddock of Hewett; sons and daughters-in-law, David and Tina Craddock of Lake, Troy and Annette Felty of Danville and Dennis and Donna Craddock of Hewett; daughter and son-in-law, Bunny and Ralph Caudill of Ottawa; brothers, Jacob and Daniel Craddock, both of Lake, and Willie Craddock of Hewett; sisters, Lenora White, Nellie Craddock, Marcella Stevenson and Lena Dent, all of Lake, Deborah Hall of Georgia and Luella Stevenson of Hewett; 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 10, at Meadow Fork Freewill Baptist Church with the Rev. Gary Tomblin and Earl Akers officiating. Burial will follow in Epling Cemetery, Hewett.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Stevens Funeral Home, Madison.
