Son of William & Mary Stewart.
Served as a private in Co. B, 13th West Virginia Infantry
Enlisted in 1862, was wounded at Winchester, returned to service March 6, 1865 and was discharged at Wheeling on June 5, 1865.
Adam Stewart was the son of William Stewart & Mary Parsons, born October 4, 1832, Jackson Co., WV, and died September 8, 1902. Adam married Elleanor J. Smith on March 25, 1853, in Mason Co., WV. Elleanor was the daughter of Isaac Smith & Rachel McGuire, born January 7, 1833, and died March 3, 1909.
