Sarah
Wife of
Benjamin Pugh
Died Sept 7th, 1863
The next few lines are difficult to read on the picture (and I regret we did not copy the inscription when we were there).
Dearest Mother, thou hast left us
Here thy loss we deeply feel
But tis God that has bereft us
He will all our sorrows heal.
But again we hope to greet thee
When the day of life has fled
And in heaven we trust to meet thee
Where no farewell tears are shed
