William Charles "Possum" Ball, 57, of Danville, Boone County, went to be with the Lord Friday, October 30, 2009. Born September 18, 1952, he was the son of Rosa Marie Hendren Ball of Hewett and the late Jesse C. "Jack" Ball.
Mr. Ball was a former coal miner, a member of the UMWA, and a member of the Spencer Chapel United Methodist Church, Hewett.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by brothers, Jackie Ball of Danville, Douglas Ball and Jimmy Ball, both of Hewett; and sister, Joyce Ball of Hewett.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, November 3, 2009, at Spencer Chapel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Roger McCauley officiating. Burial will follow at Henderson Ball Cemetery, Hewett.
Friends may call after 6 p.m. Monday at the church.
Stevens Funeral Home, Madison, is in charge of arrangements.
